Steve Chahal, MSEE, MSEM
Founder/Co-Founder Emeritus
Steve Chahal, Founder and Co-Founder Emeritus of Fairfax Software, is a seasoned entrepreneur with a distinguished track record in delivering large-scale, mission-critical systems across multiple continents.
Holding advanced degrees in Computer Science and Engineering Management, he began his career in highly technical roles at leading software organizations in both France and the United States. Driven by a vision to make a meaningful impact in data and financial transaction processing, he co-founded Fairfax Imaging, now Fairfax Software, with a focus on innovation, precision, and purpose.
Over the past 30+ years, Steve has played a pivotal role in shaping the company into a recognized leader in complex document and financial transaction solutions, achieving a strong presence in the U.S. tax and revenue market as well as in key sectors across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.
Fluent in four languages, he brings a global perspective to leadership and remains committed to advancing technology solutions that serve organizations and communities worldwide.
Donna Castello, MBA, PMP
President
Donna Castello, President of Fairfax Software, brings visionary leadership and a deep commitment to innovation in the financial transaction technology and intelligent document processing space. With extensive experience driving growth and delivering impactful solutions, she has been instrumental in guiding Fairfax Software’s mission to modernize payment and intelligent document processing and empower organizations across government and regulated industries. Under her leadership, the company continues to expand its footprint, helping clients improve efficiency, enhance transparency, and embrace digital transformation with confidence.
Donna has been a certified PMP since 2005 and holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Western Illinois University.
Michael Minter, ICP
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Michael Minter, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, is responsible for Fairfax’s customer-facing functions, including all sales, channel management, business development, and marketing activities.
Michael is a twenty-five-year veteran of the payment processing and document imaging industry. He has extensive experience in sales management and customer operations. Prior to joining Fairfax Software, Michael was Vice President, Solution Sales at Scan-Optics, Inc., and held executive account management positions at Computer Entry Systems and General Instruments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a certification from Southern Methodist University in Executive Management, and is a certified Information Capture Professional (ICP).
LeAnn Stout, CPM
Vice President of Customer Success
LeAnn Stout, Vice President of Customer Success, is responsible for the delivery of all customer projects. This division encompasses a team of project managers, business analysts, software engineers, forms designers, and report writers. LeAnn is responsible for directing project planning and management as well as providing hands-on support of end-to-end system integration from system design to installation.
LeAnn graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Science’s degree in Accounting and holds a Certificate of Public Management from Drake University. Prior to joining the Fairfax Software team, LeAnn managed end-users of the Quick Modules product.
Francesco Leising
Vice President of Quality Assurance
Francesco Leising, Vice President of Quality Assurance, is responsible for ensuring that all software and/or hardware products are fully tested and meet or exceed all set requirements. The Quality Assurance Team conducts extensive, and detailed testing on all products evaluates product performance, and offers recommendations to improve existing methods of operation.
Francesco Leising has been in the SDLC space for the past 15+ years, holding various positions performing testing activities. He has worked for large corporations driving both manual and automated environments, to the next level, while ensuring the delivery of a quality software product. He is qualified to lead Scaled Agile implementation for a project to complete delivery.
Francesco continues his career with Fairfax, ensuring every customer benefits from the experience of a large corporate employee, on a small scale where every client feels like family.
Alex Umansky, MSCE
Director, Core Software Development
Alex Umansky, Director of Core Software Development, oversees many customer implementations of Fairfax Software software. Alex also manages customer-requested system changes. Alex has been with Fairfax Software for over 15 years and is one of the original programmers who designed the Quick Modules software system. He is extremely proficient in setting up customer systems in a timely and efficient manner.
Alex holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Karazin Kharkiv National University in Ukraine.
Chris Bosner
Director of Engineering, Customer Success
Chris serves as the Director of Engineering within the Customer Success organization at Fairfax Software, overseeing all engineering functions for the Customer Success Team. With a deep well of engineering knowledge and extensive industry experience, Chris brings strong technical leadership and a collaborative spirit to his role.
Chris’s leadership is instrumental in driving Fairfax Software’s goal of delivering exceptional customer experiences through engineering excellence.
