Quick Branch Capture is a multipurpose solution that allows users to scan and balance batches remotely and transfer check images and data to a centralized location for electronic deposit. The application can capture MICR, detect duplicate checks, perform batch balancing, and enable a teller to resolve errors. Quick Branch Capture is designed to support both Branch Capture and Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) applications. Quick Branch Capture works alongside an operator to create balanced batches that may be submitted to a customized Quick Modules workflow
With Quick Branch Capture, you can scan checks at remote locations and then add them to a centralized workflow for an easy stream of highly organized information directly to a consolidated Microsoft SQL Database. The data can be seamlessly posted to the corresponding Check21 software if that corresponds with your particular software solution. The Quick Reports module gives you a detailed breakdown of the batch: batch number, batch totals, and information about each check in the batch including routing number, account number, check number, and check amount.
Quick Branch Capture Features Include:
- Detect Duplicates at the workstation
- Detect Duplicates across all workstations.
- Compatible with any ranger-compatible desktop check scanner
- Scan and Capture at the branch
- Automatic Balancing
- Verify Images are Check21 ready
- MICR Recognition
- CAR/LAR Recognition
- Fraud Detection
- Balancing
- Reporting
- Data Correction
- Works with Active Directory
When a batch is started checks associated with the batch are scanned. As checks are scanned, the image of the check will be displayed to the teller. The workflow will automatically lift both handwritten and machine-printed amount information from each check.
At any time during scanning into Branch Capture, the operator can delete a scanned check, rescan a check, or add additional checks to the batch creating a seamless Branch Capture solution.
If data lifted automatically by Quick Branch Capture is not recognized at high confidence, the data will be presented to the operator to view and correct. This includes standardized MICR data read by the scanner and validated per American Banking Association rules and check amounts are recognized using CAR/LAR software.
The operator will key correct using the check image any rejected characters and any amounts with low confidence results. The sum of check amounts scanned must equal the batch amount that is either key entered or read from a batch ticket scanned with the checks. The batch must be in balance and errors corrected by the operator before the batch is released to the Quick Modules workflow.
Once the scanning of checks is complete, an employee will be prompted to correct any errors. The batch cannot be finalized until all business rules are satisfied. As the teller resolves an error, Branch Capture will move to the next error until all errors are resolved. Any errors in the MICR will be displayed to the teller for correction. During error correction, the teller will have the ability to rotate images, toggle between the front and back images, delete individual checks, rescan checks, add additional checks, and correct data.
